How very lucky to be a woman we are and today should not be any different. Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some but not in my house. 13 has always been a lucky number for us and a very good reason to celebrate, especially when it falls on Friday. The color orange is often referred to as the "social" color in feng shui energy and is said to create and promote lively conversations and good times. Change your luck with this fresh and frisky citrus libation!
Luck Be A Lady Cocktail
Ingredients:
1 oz apple brandy
1 oz Vodka
1 oz orange liqueur ( like Gran Marnier)
Splash of fresh squeezed orange juice
Dash orange bitters
Zest of orange
Sugar
Orange Wedge
Directions:
Remove the zest from the orange and mix with granulated sugar and place on a small dish. Run orange wedge around edge of glass to moisten and dip the rim the glass with the orange sugar to coat. Squeeze the orange juice after the zest has been removed.
In a martini shaker, combine apple brandy, vodka, orange liqueur, a splash of orange juice and a dash of orange bitters and ice. Shake until chilled and pour into rimmed martini glasses and garnish with orange wedge. Take a sip and feel the luck flow into you.
