Teapot Cocktails – High Tea with a Twist

Teapot cocktails are quite the rage in Sydney, Australia and especially at the Loft for High Tea. Not much tea with a lovely combination of fruit juices and alcohol served in a teapot with little finger sandwiches make for a wonderful way to unwind with the girlfriends.
So bring out Grandma’s teapot and china service and have a tea party right in your own living room. Simply create the tea ahead of time, let it cool and mix with your favorite flavors. To your health!

Hot Teapot Cocktail
CAPTAIN GREY
4oz piping hot organic Earl Grey tea
1.5 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
0.25 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp organic honey
Pre-warm a snifter (cognac glass) with warm to hot water. Steep the Earl Grey tea for 3-5 minutes in a teapot. Empty water from snifter; add tea, rum, lemon juice and honey. Swirl gently and garnish with a lemon wheel.
The steam from the drink will rise from the large opening of the snifter as you hold it up to your lips. A wonderfully relaxing cup of tea.
